More for less

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 is priced as an everyday-use laptop—but engineered as something much more. Premium Intel processing—as well as powerful memory and storage options—means this PC delivers beyond expectations. Bonus: The numeric keypad will speed up your productivity, whether you’re working on your budget or preparing a spreadsheet.

13th Gen Raptor-Lake Processor

The Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3 is equipped with the Intel Core i3-1315U is an entry-level mobile CPU for thin and light laptops from the Raptor Lake-U series. It was announced in early 2023 and offers one performance core (P-cores, most likely Golden Cove architecture like Alder Lake) and 4 efficient cores (E-cores, Gracemont architecture). The P-cores support Hyper-Threading leading to 6 supported threads when combined with the E-cores. The clock rate ranges from 1.6 to 4.5 GHz on the performance cluster and 1.2 to 3.3 GHz on the efficient cluster. The performance of the E-cores should be similar to old Skylake cores (compared to the Core i7-6700HQ). All cores can use up to 10 MB L3 cache.

Great for entertainment

Narrow bezels on two sides make the most of the 15.6“ IdeaPad 3’s up-to-FHD display—and give the laptop itself a clean, contemporary look. Dual speakers with Dolby Audio optimize sound so you’ll love what you hear as well as what you see.

Privacy at your fingertips

The IdeaPad 3 laptop is packed with advanced technology, but sometimes the straightforward approach works best. That’s why we designed the webcam with a physical shutter. When you’re done with your video chat, simply close the shutter—and make your webcam hacker-proof.

An Uncharacteristic Keyboard

Lenovo ThinkPad keyboards are the industry’s finest, but this is no ThinkPad. The top row contains media control and microphone mute keys, but even with a numeric keypad included the designers couldn’t find room for Home, End, Page Up, or Page Down keys. Instead, you must pair the Fn key with the cursor arrow keys, and the latter is in a clumsy, HP-style row (hard-to-hit, half-size up and down arrows sandwiched between left and right) instead of the proper inverted T. The keyboard has a flat, plasticky typing feel that’s dull and uncomfortable. We experienced several skipped and double letters. The small, buttonless touchpad glides and taps smoothly enough but has a stiff, hollow click.
